Parking and Activity Locations

WOODWAY COUNTRY CLUB
Located in Darien, Connecticut, Woodway Country Club property features its state-ranked 18-hole golf course, main clubhouse with banquet facilities, tennis and paddle courts and pool and tennis complex. Woodway Beach Club stands on Shippan Point on Long Island Sound in Stamford, Connecticut. The Beach Club also features a beautiful clubhouse, picnic patios, beach, tennis, aquatic activities and a full schedule of events during the summer season.
 
MAIN CLUB
  • The main clubhouse is located at 540 Hoyt Street, Darien CT 06820
  • The bag drop for golf is located on the right as you pull up the driveway 
  • You can access the main clubhouse, dining rooms, locker rooms and golf pro-shop via walkway from the parking lot
  • There is ample parking in the parking lot

POOL & TENNIS COMPLEX
  • 412 Hoyt Street, Darien CT 06820
  • You can access the pool, snack bar, tennis courts and tennis pro-shop via walkway from the parking lot  
  • There is ample parking in the parking lot

PADDLE TENNIS HUT & COURTS
  • 430 Hoyt Street, Darien CT 06820
  • You can access the paddle hut and paddle tennis courts via walkway from the parking lot
  • There is ample parking in the parking lot

BEACH CLUB
  • 95 Hobson Street, Stamford CT 06902
  • You can access the beach clubhouse, snack bar, locker rooms and beach via walkway from the parking lot
  • There is ample parking in the parking lot

Dress Code

WOODWAY COUNTRY CLUB DRESS CODE
A general standard of neatness is always in force and applies to all members and their guests. The Board of Governors has approved staff enforcement of the dress code that is specific to each venue.

EVERYDAY DRESS
  • Everyday Dress is required at all times, as defined below:
*Men: collared shirts, casual or dress slacks, dress denim or shorts
*Women: non-revealing dresses, blouses, skirts, pants, dress denim or shorts
  • Shoes must be worn; shirts must be tucked in unless designed otherwise
  • Clothing must be in perfect repair and may not be torn, faded or tattered
  • Men are not permitted to wear hats in any dining room or under the awning at the Beach Club
  • All hats must be worn with the visor facing forward
  • Cut-off shorts, bare midriff tops, concert, mesh, novelty, slogan or offensive shirts are not permitted

SATURDAY EVENING DRESS, CLUB-WIDE
  • Jackets are preferred, but optional

GOLF
  • All golfers, including junior golfers, must always wear appropriate golf attire on the golf course, driving range, putting and chipping greens, the 19th Hole Grill and the area around the pro shop
*Men: collared shirts tucked in and caps worn with the visor facing forward
*Women: shirts must have collars or sleeves and must be tucked in unless designed otherwise
  • Not permitted: blue denim, cut-off shorts, tennis apparel, halter tops, mesh shirts, tank tops, gym shorts, short shorts, cargo pants and cargo shorts.
  • Electronic devices are not allowed on the golf course or driving range at any time.

MAIN CLUB TENNIS COURTS
  • Tennis attire, including hats, socks and shoes must be white with no more than 10% colored trim
  • All players must wear proper tennis shoes. Cross trainers and running shoes are not allowed
  • Swimwear is not allowed on the tennis courts
  • T-shirts, cut-offs and jogging shorts are not permitted.
  • Colored tennis attire is permitted on the Beach Club tennis courts
  • All dress code issues will be under the discretion of the Director of Tennis

POOL
  • Appropriate swimwear must be worn in the pool
  • Adults and teenagers must wear appropriate cover-up attire when walking to and from the parking lot and in the dining pavilion after 5:00pm

BOWLING ALLEY
  • All bowlers must wear bowling shoes and are available as loans
  • In accordance with the Woodway Dress Code, dress blue denim is permitted in the Bowling area

PADDLE TENNIS
  • All players must wear proper tennis or paddle sneakers. Running sneakers are not recommended.

BEACH CLUB

  • Men are not permitted to wear hats in any dining room or under the awning at the Beach Club
  • Cut-off shorts, bare midriff tops, concert, mesh, novelty, slogan or offensive shirts are not permitted • Blue denim jackets for ladies are permitted Saturday Evening Dress
  • Jackets are preferred, but optional Other Beach Club Dress Standards
  • Colored tennis attire is permitted on the Beach Club tennis courts
  • Swimwear is appropriate on the beach, barbeque patio, and at tables forward of the awning
  • Swimwear with a cover-up is permitted at lunch under the awning
  • Shoes must be worn at all times in the Clubhouse, under the awning, and at the bar
  • Everyday Beach Club Dress is in effect after 5:00pm in the Clubhouse, under the awning and at the bar
  • Blue denim is permitted Tuesdays after 5:00 pm for Family Fun Nights

It is the responsibility of the member to ensure his family members and guests adhere to the dress code.

IMPORTANT RULES

CELL PHONES
  • MAIN CLUB: Cell Phone Talking is allowed in the Hoyt Room, Coat Room & Parking lot. Cell Phone Texting is allowed in the Hoyt Room, Coat Room & iPads, e-Readers Locker Rooms.
  • POOL, PADDLE & TENNIS: Cell phone talking is allowed in the parking lot & fenced in grassy area. Cell phone texting is allowed anywhere except in the dining pavilion. Earphones, iPads, iPods and e-Readers are allowed anywhere except in the dining pavilion. GOLF COURSE: Cell phone talking or texting is never permitted.
  • BEACH CLUB: Cell phone talking is allowed in the locker room, breezeway & parking lot. Cell phone texting, iPads and e-Readers with earphones are allowed anywhere except in the dining room and under the awning
ELECTRONICS
In consideration of members and guests, the use of electronic devices is discouraged. Electronic devices must be in silent mode and should in no way interfere with other member’s enjoyment. Laptops are not permitted.


SMOKING
WCC is a non-smoking facility. Smoking of any kind and use of devices such as vapes, e-cigarettes, and traditional tobacco products are not permitted in any dining area, including the outdoor terraces.
